Thieves' Cant: a secret mix of dialect, jargon, and code that allows you to hide messages in seemingly normal conversation. Only others that knows thieves' cant understand such messages. It takes four times longer to convey than it does to speak the same idea plainly. You also understand secret signs in the cant.

But my behaviour has become too raucous and my theiving too blatant for the troupe to keep me: so I've struck out on my own before they could kick me out.
For the last six months I've been making my way from town to town, inveigling myself into the salons of nobles, having a romp, and then making off with their valuables.
