History: Born in the north to a Spice Merchant, Shane learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Courier, but he was a colossal failure. He has never given up on his dancing dream.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. Vorka liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Roger lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Stylist. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Crown-heir they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Stylist, and he later adopted a second son.

History: He got into the Crown-heir business at a young age. His childhood dream was to be a Bather, but he was a colossal failure. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
