History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Phelaia was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Dyer for the past few years.

Motivation: To be a Slave Trader again; and further expansion of business

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for her, and Emmeline does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Emmeline was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life; and wants to work out more often
