Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of goblins may trigger it at times.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Hugh is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His first spouse was a Doctor, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and to find somewhere to settle down

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roger was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Description: He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. His skin is fair and his fingers are delicate and long. He keeps his auburn hair in a flapper bob. His eyes are likewise green.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his youth he was a Cartwright, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and he's looking for his big break

Description: This younger middle-aged man dresses like a well dressed Detective does, and a wedding ring on his left hand. His hair is always cut to a buzz. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Detective.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to be a merchant again
