History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: He is a Courier first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.

History: Gerard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Courier.
