History: Gifted from a young age, Diggory studied abroad. Diggory was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Soapmaker. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Description: A plain young-adult man, he is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright red and green, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He has a blonde handlebar mustache and slicked back blonde hair. His eyes are likewise brown.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Merchant born in the past three hundred years. Hugh enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born into a rich family. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Hugh was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently the stress of being a Merchant has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
