To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hubert. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and money/treasure

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Guard, but he got bored and became a Interpreter. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Interpreter for hire.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and regain custody of his son
