Manfred Mitchell, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic left hand, he wears suspenders and brown workpants. His shirt is blue, and he wears a heavy brown leather apron most of the time. His brown hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.
Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: He was born at the edge of vast island. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Manfred took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up hammer and armor he uses now. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

Balimaar Bradly, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This dark-skinned male is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing brown cape and mantle trimmed with soft black waves gently in the breeze. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. He keeps his long chestnut hair kept up in a rat tail. He wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into his face.
Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He uses divination through singing.
History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Actor arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Balimaar was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.
Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and someone believes him a fraud

John Northcott, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: An older man who wears very tight pants and wife beaters, though occasionally he sports a grey coat, he is not a threatening figure. His tied-back hair is white. His eyes are blue and beady.
Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.
History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after John was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. John's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Cory Breeden, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He is a small man, but exceptionally fit. He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. His brown hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His brown unseeing eyes seem to look past you.
Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.
History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: To end his boredom.

Hugh Presley, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He dresses in green turtlenecks beneath a pastel coat with blue slacks. His red hair is still thick. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his amber eyes.
Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: Gifted from a young age, Hugh studied abroad. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Hugh took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up mace and armor he uses now. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
