When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Adelard liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He's also a talented Scribe, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Interpreter. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Nicholas was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has never given up on his music dream.
