History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Theodoric was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

The war was a terrible time for him, and Richard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Richard was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Assassin. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
