History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Miles. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Miles fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: A child with a great deal of poetry talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His father took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and balancing his hectic life and new detective responsibilities is difficult

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Odo hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Revenge.
