History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting giants, the young Shane began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Shane was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
